NASA

NAFCO joined our country’s Mission to Mars by recently completing a three-year project to detail, fabricate and erect test stands for new NASA space vehicle systems at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. NAFCO also assisted with substructure and super structure connection design on the project, which required over 4,500 tons of steel.

NAFCO’s in-house team of detailers and engineers worked closely with NASA and other contractors to produce constructible solutions that will meet the rigorous demands of future space travel.

For its work on this project, NAFCO received the coveted Engineering News Record “Best Project Award” in the government/public buildings category, first in the southeast region and then in the national competition.
