The NAFCO Difference

 

Wolf Point was founded in 2013, but a complete account of its history goes back another 60 years. That’s when NAFCO, North Alabama Fabricating Company, Inc., was founded. 

 

NAFCO got its start in structural steel detailing but quickly established itself as North America’s most trusted fabricator of structural steel for bulk material handling systems. And for many years, NAFCO also self-performed projects with engineering and procurement scopes of supply and continuously sought ways to enhance its value proposition.  

 

Then, in 2012, the Roberts & Schaefer Company—which had been a leader in bulk material handling for more than 100 years and a long-term NAFCO client—closed its Chicago office. Almost immediately, several former Roberts & Schaefer staff members—among the leading engineers and project managers in the industry—realized that by joining forces with NAFCO, they could combine all the expertise of the old R&S with something never seen before in EPC: in-house steel fabrication and detailing.  

 

Today, Wolf Point Engineers & Contractors is the only company in the United States with the resources to provide estimating, design engineering, shop detailing, procurement, steel fabrication and installation with total control of project management, scheduling and delivery.
